Lily Farm Fresh Nourishing Facial Cleanser

Skin care products containing herbs, botanicals and essential oils always peak my interest. They offer such amazing benefits, it’s difficult to go back to synthetic ingredients afterwards. When I learned about Lily Farm Fresh Skin Care, I knew I had to sample their products.

Part of their Anti-Aging Line, Lily’s Nourishing Facial Cleanser with rosemary and sage is undeniably a true cleanser. The rosemary and subtle lavender lifts your mood while the emollient liquid blend cleanses well without any residues.

With just 3-4 pumps, this non-lathering cleanser removes my light coat of liquid foundation, eyeshadow, blush and even manages to remove some of the physical sunblock I use daily. If you use physical blocks, you know how difficult it can be to wash off. I was definitely skeptical of all these advantages when first using the product. Although the liquid doesn't lather, it still performs like a true cleanser.

The liquid itself contains Lily’s homemade almond oil soap. The consistency is a nice silky liquid, not watery or too thick. Using wet palms, 3-4 pumps of cleanser is enough to get good slip to wash my entire face. Don’t be afraid to try this if you’re timid about oils being used in a cleanser. The botanicals help to create balance so after use, your skin isn’t feeling oily at all. Personally, the cleanser left my skin just a touch on the dry side so finishing up with a moisturizing oil treatment was best for me (I used Lily Farm Fresh Rejuvenating Seven Facial Oil Treatment).

Packaging comment: I don't routinely make comments about product packaging unless I am definitely wowed. The Nourishing Facial Cleanser comes in a solid, glass bottle with a pump dispenser. Each pump dispenses the liquid perfectly without leaking on the side or on the bottle (no mess). Even the label on the bottle seems laminated over so it doesn't matter if your hands are wet when touching the bottle. The label doesn't come off, becomes ruined or breaks down in any way (as some ecofriendly packaging can do). Packaging is SO NICE and SOLID! Nice job Lily. Sometimes, the smaller details such as packaging just makes the experience you're having oh so much better. Don't you agree? (ok I digress, ahem)...

Key ingredients which make me happy:

Comfrey: hydrates and promotes healing of the skin with allantoin, mucilage and phenolic acid content

Lemon juice, Lavender: has antiseptic, antibacterial qualities

Sage: acts as an astringent, has antiseptic, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory qualities due to thujone and rosmarinic acid content

Tea Tree oil: has antiseptic qualities

Rosemary: has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant benefits

Marketing label: Perfect for daily use. Our non-detergent, emollient cleanser leaves the skin fresh, clean and balanced.

After 4 weeks of use, Lily Farm Fresh Nourishing Facial Cleanser has left my skin clean and refreshed. No breakouts to report. I would definitely incorporate this cleanser into my spring + summer time regimens. Perfect for any type of combination skin. And the best part, no synthetic ingredients. Luv!
