ANDALOU Naturals Bioactive 8 Berry Fruit Enzyme Mask

Honestly speaking, I admit I am not much of a mask gal. Having said that, however, Andalou Naturals Bioactive 8 Berry Enzyme Mask (Step 2 of their Age Defying set) turned me into a mask lover (after just one use!) What persuaded me? To begin, the scent of strawberries is enough to make me salivate, the fact the product actually looks and feels like jelly is pretty enticing too.

Key Ingredients that make me smile: Fruit stem cells, BioActive 8 Berry Complex, Sea Buckthorn, Rosehip Oil, Papain, Manuka Honey, Resveratrol, Ubiquinone and White Tea

In using a dime size amount, I can cover my face for one treatment. It goes on pretty clear and dries quickly minus the caking. It rinses easily and leaves my skin clean without feeling dry or oily.

Marketing label: The packaging says the antioxidants slow cellular damage and stimulate skin firming collagen and elastin…fruit enzymes gently dissolve dull, dry surface cells to reveal skin’s vitality and ageless beauty.

Although I used this mask for the short time frame (2.5 weeks), I did feel it helped maintain my skin’s firmness while giving it a healthy sheen. The way I would use this product is by adding it to my present skin care regimen. I would still require my scrub to help me get passed any rough, dry patches from this harsh winter (facial scrub twice a week, enzyme mask once a week), however, I would not use it as my only exfoliant.

In the end, it converted me into fan of using facial masks, and felt like I received a real spa treatment. All that was missing was a robe and wrapping my hair in a towel!
