Pangea Organics Italian Red Mandarin With Rose Facial Moisturizer

There are many qualities I love about this facial hydrater, Pangea Organics Italian Red Mandarin With Rose Facial Moisturizer. I first tried this product in spring of last year when my skin actually was normal accompanied by some minor T zone oil. After one week of use, I decided to deposit it in the drawer for another day feeling it was a bit too moisturizing for my springtime skin. Helpful tip, when you feel a product isn’t exactly right for your skin, think about saving it for another season when the product might better match the needs of your skin. So fast forward 9 months later in the dead cold winter with temperatures travelling to the negative digits, I found my face, dry, cracked and actually inflamed from all the cold and low humidity. So out of the draw, my Pangea moisturizer came and what a heaven sent it was. Not only did it relieve my dryness, it reduced that “raw” sensation which can be pretty uncomfortable (like I can’t do anything else till I fix it uncomfortable!@#$!).

Pangea Organics Italian Red Mandarin with Rose Facial cream smells of a light, sweet mandarin or clementine. If citrus scents entice you, this cream will immediately put a smile on your face. Using 2 small pea sized amounts easily hydrates my face at night. The cream is a light to medium consistency, not heavy and absorbs into the skin after 15-20 seconds of rubbing. My skin is left feeling very soft to touch which lasts through the morning when I wake.

Overall, I really love this facial moisturizer. It creates a sense of calm and softness to my dry, stressed skin. Although, my skin was terribly dry at the time, it was no longer raw within 2 weeks as I continued to use this product. No break outs or pink bumps to report, just nourished skin.

What attracted me to trying this product was its ingredients: Avocado Oil, Argan Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Shea Butter, Pumpkin Seed and Rose Otto Oil, Calendula, Fennel Seed and Horsetail Extracts to name a few. Not only are these ingredients filled with skin hydrating benefits, they offer anti-inflammatory and skin barrier regenerative qualities. Being a woman in my 30's, I am always looking for ingredients with a good fatty acid profile and antioxidants. I also like the fact that most of the beneficial oils are listed within the first 15 ingredients of the label making it higher in content as opposed to the last 5.

The only negative I can think of is I will wind up buying another bottle before winter is over as the size is only 2 ounces. The bottle it comes in is an old apothecary like brown glass bottle with a closable twist pump (good for keeping finger germies out). The packaging is even compostable and plantable! I really enjoyed using this product and will buy it again. Luv it!
