Tips To Simplify Your Regimen

When I was in my 20’s (omg, seems forever and a day ago!) I used to spend at least an hour getting ready for work in the morning. I’d wake up at some ungodly hour (like 5:30am) just to shower and put my face on before skidding out the door!

These days, I have definitely made it a rule to spend no more than 30 minutes getting ready. Anything more than that, is just waaay too much time. Do you ever feel that way? Seems there isn’t enough time in the day to do everything you want or even need to do, so who wants to add unnecessary time well if hey, it’s unnecessary?

West Nile Virus Alert!@#

Did someone say West Nile Virus?

mosquitoes???!!!!!! (yikes!)

On July 8, 2013, the NYC Dept. of Health and Mental Hygiene announced in a press release, the West Nile Virus had been detected in NYC mosquitoes. The mosquitoes were collected from the Pomonok neighborhood in Queens and the Huguenot Beach neighborhood on Staten Island.

Although no human cases of West Nile Virus have been detected this season, the Dept. of Health presently advises New Yorkers to take simple precautions to protect against mosquito exposure and bites.

Are you due for a skin care overhaul?? Part 2

Welcome back skin ravers! :)

So we're on the subject of performing a skin care overhaul.

So are you ready to see what my answers are?

Okay so here goes.

I am a 39 year old female with combination skin.

I am concerned with battling any premature wrinkles and preventing new sunspots. My skin is more freckled now and ISN'T glowing. I would really like a healthier glowing appearance please!

I do experience some minor break outs about once a week.

Are you due for a skin care overhaul?? Part 1

Every year I take a look at the skin care products I use to see if they’re working for me. I usually give myself a year when using a product before I totally say it’s a Nay (unless of course it causes me rashes or hives! Then it’s a goner). A cleanser might be too moisturizing in the summer but a total complement in the winter.  I believe in the mantra less is more and I confess to being a creature of habit. However, it doesn’t mean I don’t wanna change things up sometimes, including my skin care.
