Laurel Whole Plant Organics Citrus Spice Lip Treatment

I was very excited to try Laurel Whole Plant Organics, Citrus Spice Lip Treatment. Many of you know how lip obsessed I am in hunting down great lip balms and lip treatments to use.

I am happy to say the blended oils, beeswax and botanical ingredients are a winning recipe. The mixture is very light, smooth with a sweet orange aroma. Lips are left soft, moveable, not too shiny and not sticky in the least. I reeeaaaally despise lip smacking sticky gooey lip products so much, I don't give them a second chance, I just trash them.

This is another reason why I stopped purchasing lip products, filled with synthetic ingredients. You'll won't find ingredients such as mineral oil, cheap polybutene or polyisobutene in this lip treatment that add to that tacky, lip smacking feeling (so unpleasant). 
The ingredients in this lip treatment are all certified organic. No chemical preservatives, artificial colors or flavors, just 16 botanical ingredients.

Let's take a look at some of the ingredients

Olive Oil: contains Oleuropein which is rich in phenols, acts as an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory agent

Coconut Oil: good for moisturizing and softening skin

Jojoba Oil: softens skin, acts as an emollient, possible anti-inflammatory benefits 

Rosehip Seed Oil: the phytochemicals, specifically Vitamin C, polyphenol and flavonoid content provide antioxidant benefits 

Honey: has antioxidant, anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties

Calendula: has anti-inflammatory effects as well as promotes wound healing 

Comfrey: hydrates and promotes healing of the skin with allantoin, mucilage and phenolic acid content, anti-inflammatory benefit 

Lavender: provides antiseptic and antibacterial qualities as well as soothing and relaxing effects 

Marketing Label: The Citrus Spice Lip Treatment is soft, gentle and glides over lips. It has a bit of nostalgic spice to it, as well as sweetness.

After 4 weeks of use, the Citrus Spice Lip Treatment indeed softens and moisturizes my lips with a touch of sweet orange spice, so much better than sticky lip glosses or balms that peel my lips!
