Alba Botanica Rainforest Gentle Acai Scrub

Of all the facial scrubs I have tried to date, this is my favorite one. Alba Botanica’s Rainforest Gentle Acai Renewal Scrub uses walnut shell powder and certified organic ingredients such as sunflower seed oil, aloe leaf juice and jojoba oil to gently yet effectively exfoliate my skin. Unlike other scrubs with natural ingredients, this scrub does NOT leave my skin feeling oily or dry (for that matter). Many scrubs with oils can leave an oily residue which isn’t what I want if I already have somewhat oily skin. The scrub isn’t rough as some scrubs can be. The particles are not grossly large nor are they microscopically small. You can feel the ingredients working on your skin. The scent is more challenging to describe as it isn’t citrus-y or floral-y. Perhaps I can describe it to be a green, earthy smell. I always use a generous pea sized amount or lima bean amount and it’s enough to leave my face feeling smooth and refreshed. I generally wet my face and scrub the product for a good minute before rinsing off. The scrub helps to keep my pores in check and not looking so enlarged (thank goodness!). Since this scrub is my favorite, I use this baby every other day (almost everyday!).
